Read moreEye of the Moon is an absolutely amazing novel set in 1977 in a small town in New York State. This first book by author Ivan Obolensky is full of wonderful and quirky characters, very descriptive writing, and lots of twists and turns. Given that there is so much going on at every moment, it is very impressive that the novel is so perfectly woven together. This is a must-read for anyone out there who loves a great mystery with an exciting and complex plot. Set mostly in a palatial estate...

Eye of the Moon
Dark of the Earth, the third book in the Eye of the Moon series by Ivan Obolensky, is an amazing (as always) novel and an excellent continuation to this riveting series. The boys are back along with all of our favorite characters and some new ones who, while they are not ones that we will love, definitely make the story more interesting. As Dark of the Earth opens, one of our favorite boys, Johnny, has had a terrible accident and is in the hospital in a coma. Unsure as to whether or not...

Dark of the Earth
Dark of the Earth is a psychological mystery that deftly blends reality and the occult, and is replete with more unexpected plot twists and turns than a Texas tornado -- all leading to a surprising and memorable conclusion. A fun read from cover to cover for readers with an interest in metaphysical, supernatural, and visionary novels, Dark of the Earth is especially recommended for community library collections. It should be noted for personal reading lists that Dark of the Earth is also...

Dark of the Earth
Ivan Obolensky's third novel, Dark of the Earth, is a riveting page-turner that is beautifully woven and crafted. It captured my imagination from the very beginning. The first two books, Eye of the Moon and Shadow of the Son, set the stage for an enthralling narrative that has now reached new heights with this third installment. Dark of the Earth takes readers on a turbulent ride of emotions, interweaving multiple interconnected tales that keep you on the edge of your seat. From the...

When reading Shadow of the Son I found that I felt present in each scene. The characters are so well described that my imagination led me to see their gestures, to feel their emotions, and to delve so deeply into the narrative, that at night I had to make a huge effort to leave such a beautifully written novel next to my bed. When I was sure that I knew what was going to happen as a result of the rapid exchanges flowing with each scene, more than once I was surprised with how the author...

I didn't just like the book, I loved it! It is a page turner with interesting, clever characters and a story line that draws you in like a rare earth magnet. Ivan's imagery, humor and fleshing out of characters make them come alive in my mind. I loved the twists and turns of the plot lines. It is a fabulous read and left me wanting to know more.

I have spent over 40 years in leadership positions in organizations and teaching leadership at the university level. It is critical that people understand that relationships are the most critical element that people have to understand if the organization is going to be successful. Likewise, relationships within a family are as critical as relationships in an organization and Ivan Obolensky, in his most recent book, makes that obvious as the personal relationships, laid out, are what make...

Loved it! World of finance meets Egyptology, in a modern-day Agatha Christie setting. Great twists and unexpected revelations. I want more! The house itself was a character and I want to know its next adventure.
